(She/Her/Hers)
I am an Art Therapist & Professional Counselor specializing in Expressive Arts Therapy and Somatic Experiencing with a focus on working with women, young adults, and teens, as well as members of the LGBTQIA+ community, to explore issues related to trauma, identity and self-exploration, life stress and adjustments, sexuality, and gender. With over 14 years of experience, I have developed a deep understanding of the unique challenges that individuals in these communities face, and I am committed to providing a safe, supportive, and inclusive space for them to explore their feelings, thoughts, and experiences.
My approach is strengths-based, client centered and somatic; grounded in the belief that the mind and body are intimately connected, and that by engaging in creative self-expression, we can tap into and reconnect with the wisdom of our bodies and access new insights, awareness, and ultimately, healing. I draw on a variety of creative, expressive, and somatic modalities, including: art, Somatic Experiencing, movement, writing (narrative work, storytelling, poetry, journaling), music, self-attunement, enactment, play, and mindfulness to help clients explore their emotions and gain a deeper connection with and understanding of themselves.
I am also passionate about supporting women through all stages of life, including: education, career, parenthood, work and life stress, pregnancy and postpartum, mental health struggles, and women's health issues (cancer, surgical interventions, grief and loss). I believe that holistic wellness is essential to our overall health and well-being, and I work with clients to develop personalized treatment plans that take into account their unique needs, goals, preferences, and strengths.
Whether you are struggling with issues related to depression, anxiety, trauma & PTSD, sexuality and gender, grappling with the stress of life, looking to change your relationship with your body, experiencing curiosities around identity, or simply looking to improve your overall well-being, I am here to walk alongside you on your journey. Please feel free to reach out to me to learn more about my services and how we can work together to achieve your goals.
